bowl #2This is my second bowl. It includes three different colors, of dark green, brown and a sandy grey color. One main skill i used for this bowl was centering, my last bowl was crooked so i wanted to make sure this one wasn't. The main art and design elements used were shape and form. Overall this project had a warm feel to it, and next time i would like to create something similar color wise, but different in size and shape.

vase #1This is my first vase, made on the wheel. The colors were randomly picked, they turned out to be green and brown. i dipped it three times in three different colors/shades. This project includes mainly form and shape, just like my bowls. For this project i picked warm colors just like my other projects. Its a comfortable tone. The hardest thing i had with this vase was making the top straight. The easiest thing was footing it.

Optional #2 slab mugThis is my first mug made on the wheel with a attached handle. It first came out of the glaze kilm 'chunky' and not filled but after putting a new layer of clear glaze on it, it came out correct. The main elements used for this is form and texture. Using texture to attach the handle, etc. Its color is a metallic brown, dark and cold, The edging looks warn out to have a theme of olden days. I challenged with making a smooth handle, but it was easy for me to center the mug. Optional Project #1 For my optional project I decided to do a simple bowl. This bowl is similar to my other two, But i enjoy its warmth and the look of the dark, sandy green color. This bowls main elements include shape and texture. There is no printed pattern in my bowl to make texture, however; the glaze causes it to have a sandy feel. I did not have a hard time with making this at all. My favorite part was just forming the whole thing on the wheel! |
